In loving memory: Kristian Daniel Sr

It is with profound sadness that we share the death of Kristian Daniel Sr, who succumbed to recent flooding in Barcelona.

Kristian was the father of American racer Kristian Daniel Jr - who recently graduated from 3 successful years in the MotoGP Red Bull Rookies to recently announcing his ride in Tech3 KTM Moto3 in 2027. Kristian ignited his son's passion for moto racing back in 2013 when he introduced 4 yr old Kristian Daniel Jr to Marc Marquez at the Texas MotoGP.

Kristian Sr nursed his son's ambition in the years to follow, finally realising a major milestone in his dream of joining MotoGP.

It is difficult to overstate the warmth, charm and dedication of Kristian Sr. As recently as Austria in September 2026 he spoke to our guests about the trials, fears and joys of raising a son into the competitive world of international motorcycle racing.

I am still in shock as i write this. Above all else, we have lost a friend and one of the truly great hearts it has been my honour to have known.

To Kristian Jr: Stay strong. My pledge is that we will be by your side forever and while nothing will replace your tragic loss, anything we can do to help mitigate your sorrow and power you to the greatness we and your dad expected.

Ride on Kristian - watch over your son from above, We love you.

Always there for his son's fans

The quiet hand behind Jr, always working for his son

Quietly enjoying our dinner following Jr's first podium in Jerez

He inspired others to step up and help his son

Your legacy.
