Event review - Gran Premio de Aragón 2025
A small but perfect event.
We have been fortunate enough to have a good relationship with the Parador Alcaniz -- the castle dominating the city -- since the very first event here in 2010. This year our package tour was entirely based in this awesome location.
Our Friday opening dinner was held in the medieval hall with special guests including journalist Simon Patterson and our sponsored rookies Kristian Daniel and Carter Thompson.
Our team guests got to visit this stunning circuit close up, including the icon 'Wall".
More superb racing as we expect at this track. Marc Marquez took both the sprint and the main race, but the sprint was an incredible achievement for our team Gresini (and our guests with them) as BOTH of their riders took the podium! Alex was 2nd and Fermin Aldeguar took his maiden podium - and as a rookie!
In the other classes, our riders from Team Boe Moto3 took a respectable 10th (Cormac Buchanan) and 14th (Ruche Moodley). Our Moto2 team Aspar however suffered a disaster when Holgado took out his team mate Alonso on lap 1... something to give the management nightmares!
We finished with our traditional closing drinks under the twilight in the courtyard of our stunning castle!
The date change certainly impacted the event - we hope they return to the usual late summer slot in 2026. However whenever, we are sure to be there!
